Transition To Solution

Positive

Changing the communication in your family can be an important first step toward making your home a positive place to be.
You can learn proven techniques that lead to everyone in your home to a more positive approach to communication.

Predictable

Sometimes just rearranging a child’s environment and schedule can lead to long-term behavioral changes.
When your child knows the next steps in their day, they can operate on autopilot without a caregiver asking, pushing or reminding them of every step.
You can take much of the work and effort out of your day by developing consistent routines in your home.

Practical

Parents of children struggling with any number of issues from ADHD to Autism to Oppositional Defiant Disorder don’t have time to deal with artificial means of changing behavior like charts and stickers.
If a strategy does not work within the flow of a family’s day, it will not work long-term.
Sometimes talking to your child can be a useful way to have the child help in developing strategies to better handle the situations that they struggle with. Learning a structured way of taking them through the problem-solving process can lead to results that help your child succeed in all settings. When they own the plan, they are much more likely to do well.
When you learn more about your child’s behavior and understand what works and does not work for them, you can take that understanding and apply it to your child’s success now and in the future.

Testimonials

Sophia from British Columbia says:

“I would like to recommend Jana to others to make sure they have a person who understands the and their issues as a parent. She understands the issues not from a doctor’s point of view but from a parent’s and friend’s point of view. I had Jana back me up with more suggestions every week to make more improvments.

Rodrigo from Mexico says:

When the plan was presented to get Rodrigo’s son to follow the simplest directions without arguing, refusing, name calling, swearing, he said it would take a week or more to see a change and he was willing to bet on it. This is what he said after implementing the plan; “You won the bet. He responded in 3 days

Angie from Michigan

I have to tell you how amazing you are! Last week I sat with Clayton for school and tried all your tricks and tips. This week I have backed off and let him use his new methods to find his path. Just did a grade check. His F in English is now an A-. His D in Social Studies is now a B. We're not out of the woods yet, still sitting on an F in Math, But this is serious progress! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Dawn Ehret, Children’s Caseworker, Mental Health Agency

Jana has an innate ability to connect with parents and children and help them face some extremely difficult and challenging behaviors. She also takes the time to point out what parents and children are doing right and encourages those strengths in her work with families. In the 15 years I worked with Jana, she was my “go to person” when I had a parent struggling with behavioral issues with their child. I knew I could always count on her to jump right in without judgment. And I knew families would appreciate her willingness to tackle even the toughest of behaviors. I have great respect for Jana and I would not hesitate to recommend her to a family in need of behavioral services!
