Transition To Solution

Positive

Changing the communication in your family can be an important first step toward making your home a positive place to be.
You can learn proven techniques that lead to everyone in your home to a more positive approach to communication.

Predictable

Sometimes just rearranging a child’s environment and schedule can lead to long-term behavioral changes.
When your child knows the next steps in their day, they can operate on autopilot without a caregiver asking, pushing or reminding them of every step. You can take much of the work and effort out of your day by developing consistent routines in your home.

Practical

Parents of children struggling with any number of issues from ADHD to Autism to Oppositional Defiant Disorder don’t have time to deal with artificial means of changing behavior like charts and stickers.
If a strategy does not work within the flow of a family’s day, it will not work long-term.
Sometimes talking to your child can be a useful way to have the child help in developing strategies to better handle the situations that they struggle with. Learning a structured way of taking them through the problem-solving process can lead to results that help your child succeed in all settings. When they own the plan, they are much more likely to do well.
When you learn more about your child’s behavior and understand what works and does not work for them, you can take that understanding and apply it to your child’s success now and in the future.
